            History

​

Thornfield Aluminium Exports was founded in 1891 by Edwin P. Rochester and started as the Rochester Aluminium Company. Beginning as a mining company, it quickly developed into the largest aluminium business in North America.

Through innovation, and excellent customer service, Rochester Aluminium expanded - acquiring several mining companies in 1954 (Including Bloomsfields Mining Incorporated.) 
Rochester Aluminium integrated these mining companies to become Thornfield Aluminium Exports in 1956.

E. D. Rochester is the current C.E.O. and heir to the Canadian export company.
